Ukrainian boxing coach Mikhail Korenovsky was among those killed when a Russian missile destroyed a residential area in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro.

Previously, it was estimated that at least 72 apartment buildings were destroyed when the nine-story building collapsed.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy spoke of the horrific tragedy in a daily Telegram post: The debris has been cleared there. All necessary services are included. Thank you to everyone doing rescue work! ”.

He continued: Dozens of people, including six children, were rescued from the rubble. We are fighting for everyone! Rescue efforts will continue as long as there is even the slightest chance of saving a life. ”
