The World Baseball Classic will resume in March this year after a two-year postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a star-studded tournament where MLB talents gather. Big names such as Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and Juan Soto participated.

WBC is the 5th time this time. The tournament he started in 2006 and he regularly takes place every four years before the Major League Baseball season. The 2023 tournament was originally scheduled to take place in 2021.

The 2023 World Baseball Classic will begin on March 8 and the championship will be decided on March 21.

Twenty countries participated in this year’s WBC. Japan won his two tournaments in 2006 and his first in 2009. The Dominican Republic, which she won in 2013, was second only to the United States in 2017.

The roster is made up of top level players from around the world. This includes professional leagues in Japan, South Korea, and both Americas.

Two different teams, Great Britain and the Czech Republic, will make their WBC debuts. They never competed in a tournament before 2023.

The tournament will start with 4 groups of 5 teams each. Pool A will be held in Taichung, Taiwan. Pool B in Tokyo. Pool C in Phoenix, Arizona and Pool D in Miami, Florida.

The winning team from the round-robin will advance to the quarter-finals. These games will be held in Tokyo and Miami. The semi-finals and finals will be held at Miami’s Loan Depot His Park, home of the Miami Marlins.

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout will join Team USA for the first time in 2023. He will serve his one of the defending WBC champion outfield spots.
