The Chicago White Sox are having a very disappointing 2022 season, and we had to hear about it all offseason. We’ve added players like Andrew Benintendi and Mike Clevinger and made some upgrades, but we’ll have to wait and see how far these two move the needle.

Andrew Benintendi will join the outfield, which includes Luis Roberto and Oscar Chorus. Andrew Vaughan, Tim Anderson and Yoan Moncada will each start infield and have a question mark at second base. Eloy Jimenez and Gavin Sheets are designated hitter options.

The starting rotation includes Michael Clevinger, Michael Kopech, Lucas Jolit, Lance Lynn and Dylan Seeds. If they are healthy and all are in the game it could be a great rotation. What they want is a solid bullpen and this could be a pretty good team.

When I think about the above, I can’t get the events of last year out of my head. They failed to live up to every expectation throughout the season. To avoid such disappointments this year, you need to stay fit and reach your full potential almost every day.

It also helps if Pedro Grifol was a much better manager than Tony La Lusa, but it might not be that hard. Nothing is off the table for a team that has actually been very good in both 2020 and 2021.

Benintendi and Clevinger will help them, but the losses to Jose Abreu and Johnny Cueto may outweigh the gains. There must be Their depth may be tested.
