Ryan Pacette returns to the Jack Vita Show to discuss and analyze the 2023 Baseball Hall of Fame ballot. Former St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Scott Rolen was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the BBWAA on Tuesday.
Colorado Rockies great Todd Helton (72.2%) and closer Billy Wagner (68.1%) were close and soon to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, but no other players were voted out. 2000 National League MVP Jeff Kent was denied his 10th appearance and is currently out of the writers’ vote. He has a chance to be inducted into the Hall of Fame through his one on the Board of Veterans Affairs. Ryan and Jack discuss the case of players not inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2023, including Helton, Wagner, Kent, Andrew Jones, Gary Sheffield, Carlos Beltran, Alex Rodriguez, Manny Ramirez, Andy Pettitte, Bobby Abreu .
