LeBron James added to his long list of achievements by leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 25-point comeback victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
He scored 17 of 37 points in the third quarter and is now 224 points closer to the NBA’s career scoring mark. But his longtime pundit, Fox Sports 1’s Skip Bayless, said soon after that he chose to give credit to James’ teammates instead of being named a 19-time All-Star.
“Even without AD, LeBron has a lot of help. The Lakers stormed from 25 down at the half and outpaced the Blazers 75-41 in Portland in the second half,” Bayless tweeted. A lot of help from Thomas Bryant, Schroder and PatBev.
This is nothing new for Bayless. He has carved out a niche by blaming James rather than praising him. It all started in 2010 when James teamed up with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade to join the Miami Heat and create a “superteam.”
