It’s been a wild weekend of basketball in the SEC. While both Tennessee and Arkansas are losing, Auburn puts another game on the winning line. Alabama and Texas A&M are his two teams that remain undefeated in conference play. Let’s rank each team from 1 to 14.
1. Alabama Crimson Tide (15-2)
Alabama remains undefeated in conference play, with some big wins early in the season, so it’s hard to argue that anyone else has the number one spot.
2. Auburn Tigers (14-3)
The Tigers extended their home winning streak against Mississippi State this weekend. Auburn is second in the RPI ranking as he is the second highest SEC team.
3. Tennessee Volunteers (14-3)
Tennessee’s poor performance against Kentucky dropped them to third place. Despite big wins this season, the Vols have looked disorganized this weekend.
4. Arkansas Razorbacks (12-5)
Despite four losses in the SEC, the Razorbacks are still in the top 25 at 15th.
5. Missouri Tigers (13-4)
Missouri ranks 2-3 in the SEC and 20th in the nation.
6. Texas A&M (12-5)
The Aggies are undefeated in conference play, including a victory over Missouri, but with Auburn and Arkansas on the schedule, many don’t think they can stay undefeated.
7. Kentucky Wildcats (11-6)
Kentucky moves from 9 to 7 after their win over Tennessee.
8. LSU Tigers (12-5)
LSU is 1-4 as a conference team, with just one impressive win this season.
9. Georgia Bulldogs (13-4)
Georgia beat Auburn to 3-1 in SEC play.
10. Florida Gators (10-7)
Florida beats Missouri and Texas A&M is the only team to lose in the conference.
11. Mississippi (12-5)
Of the Bulldog’s four SEC losses, three came from Alabama, Tennessee and Auburn. As the season progresses, we’ll see what kind of team Mississippi really is.
12. Vanderbilt Commodores (9-8)
Yes, they beat Arkansas, but no other impressive win so far.
13. South Carolina Gamecocks ( 8-9)
The Gamecocks have lost by a wide margin more than once this year.
14. Olemis Rebel (8-9)
Ole Miss has yet to win a conference game this season.
