The Southern Connecticut Conference men’s and women’s basketball tournament championship games return to Quinnipiac University.
Quinnipiac’s M&T Bank Arena will host the women’s final on February 22nd and the men’s final on March 1st. The women’s final has been held at Quinnipiac since his 2015, and the men’s since his 2017.

The SCC Girls tournament kicks off on February 16th at the top seeded sites. Sheehan will host the quarterfinals on his February 18th and Jonathan Law will host the semifinals on his February 20th. The men’s tournament kicks off with his top seed on February 23, followed by quarterfinals at Shelton and semifinals at Floyd Little Athletic Center on February 25. at New Haven.
From 2010 to 2015, both the men’s and women’s finals were held at Quinnipiac. Two years later, the SCC brought the boys’ final back to Quinnipiac.
Notre Dame West Haven and Hill House, featuring Tremont Waters, faced off for the first time that season in front of a sell-out crowd of 3,421. Tickets were sold out 3 hours before he tipped and the tickets were literally being scalped outside TD Bank.
“We’ve had great matches before. We’ve had sellouts before,” Carbone told GameTimeCT at the time. “But nothing compares. This is the most anticipated event in his 23-year history in the league.”
The game lived up to the hype. Hillhouse beat Notre Dame-West Haven 70-62. Academic won the Class LL State Championship.
