Holiday cheers and good tidings go to Rosemount, and the Irishman is now in the Metro Top 10 for women’s basketball.

The Irish (8-0) used a great first half to open up a 16-point lead to overtake No. 8 East Ridge 64-52 in Thursday’s Eastview Holiday tournament. Rosemount entered the Metro Top 10 with his 5th place finish.

Rosemount also benefited from their usual balanced scoring. Freshman guard Riley Ang’s season-high 16 points led his three players in double digits against the Raptors. It was his first double-digit score of the season. This season at Rosemount he has seven players scoring his double figures.

No. 9 Minnetonka’s 55-50 win over No. 6 Becker paved the way for the Irishman to break into the top 10.
