Andrus packs the most aggressive punches in this trio. He appeared in 146 games last season with the Oakland Athletics and Chicago Whites with the White Sox, with 58 RBIs he hit 17 homers and recorded 18 stolen bases. The 33-year-old is primarily a shortstop, so his addition could move Hernandez to second base or center field.
Plofer also has decent power (15 homers and 58 RBI in 2022) and is younger than Harrison and Andrus, who are 29. .
Adding one of these players would make the Red Sox slightly better, but it wouldn’t necessarily make a difference.At this point in the offseason, trades are the best way to acquire legitimate talent, and the Miami Marlins Pitcher Allegedly Traded Pablo Lopez (a rumored Red Sox target) was traded to the Minnesota Twins on Friday.
