The Red Sox had a busy week and it continued on Friday afternoon.

Boston evaded arbitration with Alex Verdago, Nick Pivetta, Reese McGuire, Christian Arroyo and Ryan Brazier. Boston Globe’s Alex Speyer When Chris Cotillo of MassLive.

Speier provided a breakdown of 2023 earnings for each of the players above.

Rafael Devers got the biggest raise next campaign when the Red Sox and third baseman agreed to a $17.5 million deal to avoid arbitration. Of course, the All-Star corner infielder signed a 10-year extension with Boston earlier this week after arbitration was averted.

The Red Sox still have work to do, especially after news broke of Trevor Story’s injury. There aren’t many strong players left in the free agent market, but there are still players who are useful. Of course, there is always a trading market.

But with the Red Sox’ first full-team training just over a month away, it’s certainly profitable to make the move sooner or later.
