The Las Vegas Raiders must have wanted to avoid joining the list of teams eliminated in the first week after playing the San Francisco 49ers. He went 0-14 in his first week into Week 18 for a team facing the 49ers this season.

The Kansas City Chiefs were the only team to win their next game after facing the 49ers, but there was a bye week between their victory over San Francisco in Week 7 and Tennessee in Week 9.

49ers manager Kyle Shanahan recently said of his winning streak: Via ESPN.

Shanahan’s team certainly has something to do with it. Arguably the NFC’s top team, the 49ers have been a pretty tough team to beat since acquiring Christian McCaffrey just before the trade deadline. (44-23 to the Chiefs in Week 7), San Francisco won nine in a row before going into Sunday’s matchup with Arizona.

McCaffrey is a big reason for the 49ers’ success. The former All-Pro has 1,131 yards and nine total touchdowns since coming to the Bay Area. The 49ers also benefit from the amazing play of the quarterback block his Purdy.

The winning streak propelled the 49ers to the second seed in the NFC playoff standings. The 49ers can get the No. 1 seed if he wins one against the Giants and loses one against the Eagles.
