Catch the pro TCU Horned Frogs in this week’s NFL Playoff action. TCU has four active first-round selections playing on NFL teams, with a total of 25 players on its NFL roster last season.
With the playoff field set, the Frogs have 6 players out of 14 playoff teams.
AFC Wildcard Round
Lucas Niang One of the Kansas City Chiefs is the only Horned Frog on the AFC side’s active roster. He suffered a serious injury at the end of 2021 and missed most of the 2022 season. Niang returned in his 18th week and played seven snaps. This is the highest number since the injury.
Going forward, it’s unclear how much or how much Niang will be involved in the playoffs.
Aldarius Washington Currently on the practice team for the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens will face the Bengals in Cincinnati on Sunday night.
NFC Wildcard Round
A pair of TCU alumni are teammates. Dallas Cowboys: Return Specialist Cabonte Turpin– named Pro Bowl player of the season – and offensive lineman on the practice team Aviante CollinsDallas has battled OL injuries this year, so Collins could be called up soon.
The Cowboys will visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night.

Ross Blackrock, Jaylen LeegerWhen Austin Schrottman All will play for the Minnesota Vikings, who will host the New York Giants in the NFC Wildcard round. Schrottman finally got a starting chance earlier this season, but broke his leg at the end of the season. Blackrock and Leaguer will continue his role as a player in Minnesota’s rotation.
Minnesota will play New York on Sunday afternoon.
Three other TCU alumni will face off against two teams in the first playoff round: the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers.
LJ Collier After battling preseason injuries, he returned to action this year and is one of three on the active roster. Joey Hunt I belong to the Seattle practice team.
Jason Berrett The 49ers suffered another season-ending injury shortly after returning from the final game of the year.
The 49ers will host the Seahawks on Saturday to begin the 2023 playoffs.
