As we wrap up our coverage of the 2022 Oregon Ducks football season, it’s time to start looking forward and imagining what the future will bring. The outlook for the Ducks is definitely bright, with a number of top talent returning to Eugene for the 2023 season, led by quarterback Bo He Knicks.
While a few notable players are back for another year, there are many who have been forced to either declare for the 2023 NFL Draft or lose the rest of their eligibility and end their college careers. .
There are several players making NFL Draft decisions as juniors or still with a year of college eligibility left.
Players expected to go to the first few rounds of the 2023 NFL Draft are probably gone, but the predictions for the mid- to late-rounds will have to look in the mirror and decide what they should do. There are other players who are… I want to do about their future.
To make it all clear and easy to understand, we’ve created the NFL Draft Tracker for players in Oregon who are considering taking it to the next level or have already made a decision. The deadline for players to declare their draft is his January 16th, so expect more news to come out in the next week or so.
Brandon Dorlus — Defensive Lineman

Brandon Dorlus is arguably the most anticipated NFL announcement left for the Ducks. Dolrath played in Oregon’s bowl game and was still able to declare the draft, and at this point he could have gone either way.

Sewell announced his candidacy for the NFL Draft in December, announcing that he was ending his Oregon career after three stellar seasons with the Ducks. He predicts to be an early pick for his second day at the next level.

Christian Gonzalez is the first Duck to announce that he’s committed to the NFL Draft after the season, which makes sense given his predictions as a first-round pick in 2023.

McCormick will be back with the Ducks for another season, but this could be his last. After a long injury-plagued career, McCormick’s departure from the team at this point will be a strange one.

Bo Nix was originally slated to be a duck for just one season in 2022, but then made the jump to the NFL. However, a late knee injury derailed that and the Knicks chose to come back for the 2023 season, predicting them to be the early favorites to win the Heisman Trophy.

Alex Forsythe — Center
