Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard is having a breakout season in his fifth year at Green Bay.
During a Christmas Day game in Miami, Lazard took down three Dolphins defenders in one block. He then began the celebration by looking back at the players piled up on the grass and counting them by one. . . 2 . . . three.
The NFL responded by fined Lazard $10,609, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

Lazard also gave directions to each of the Dolphins players while they were still on the ground. A wideout was not flagged by the referee.
Earlier this season, another wide receiver was fined for similar conduct.

Eagles Pro Bowler AJ Brown had to pay a $10,000 fine after pointing out an opposing team in a Week 8 game. Brown scored three touchdowns on the day.

Shortly after the play, the Packers shared a video of the highlight reel play on Twitter.
Pro Football Talk also reported that Lazard plans to appeal the fine.
Lazard expressed frustration about the punishment when speaking to reporters.
“I don’t think it makes sense to make a play stand out and use it on social media platforms to not only get attention but also have a negative connotation. It’s very contradictory.”

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers praised Lazard’s block.
“He’s been doing this for a long time so this is nothing new,” Rodgers said Wednesday. “Kudos to Allen, but we’re not surprised by that. No. Excited, but not surprised.”
Lazard leads the team with 688 yards and is tied for second with five touchdowns on a career-high 51 receptions.
