On Friday, NFL team owners voted to approve playoff changes for the 2022 season, considering Thursday’s game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals was ruled a no-contest.
This includes:
(A) It has been decided that, for the 2022 season only, the AFC Championship Games will be played at a neutral location as determined by the Commissioner, if participating teams have played a different number of regular season games. Matches may be played at the home stadium of the higher seeded team, unless both participating clubs are number one seeds in the AFC and fail to host a championship game after playing the full 17 games in the regular season. It has been decided.and further

Unless both conditions are met, the location of Wild Card Games involving Baltimore and Cincinnati shall be determined in accordance with Article XX of the Constitution and By-Laws.
