The Baltimore Ravens face an uncertain future at the cornerback position next season.
Marlon Humphrey is expected to continue his role as the team’s top corner, but with Marcus Peters facing free agency, who will start opposite him is a mystery.
That’s why the 33rd team has the Ravens acquiring Georgia Bulldogs cornerback Keely Ringo in their latest mock draft.
“Baltimore steals an explosive straight line athlete who can play both man and zone coverage,” wrote the 33rd team.
The acquisition of Ringo will give the Ravens a second straight first-round finish after taking Kyle Hamilton 14th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft.
It might seem dangerous not to spread love to other positions with high picks, but Ringo fills an immediate need and could be a Week 1 starter wherever you go in April.
Ringo has a great size of 6-2 and good coverage. College because his length allows him to cover some of football’s bigger receivers. But while his intellect is excellent, his physical attributes would make Baltimore intrigued.
When the Bulldogs were undefeated, Ringo recorded 42 tackles and two interceptions this season for Georgia. Drafting Ringo would make the most significant contribution to the Ravens’ winning culture.
