NFL fined Jamal Williams two hip trusts over Keigh Walker for pushing athletic trainer

The NFL has several instances a year where the fines issued make no sense at all. I have the latest example.

During the Packers vs. Lions Week 18 game, Detroit RB Jamal Williams scored with two celebratory hip thrusts for $18,566. Mind you, no flags were thrown on play. Later in the same game, Green Bay’s Key Walker was sent off for pushing the Lions Athletic his trainer, who was running to tend to an injured player. He was fined just $13,261.

Well, the devil’s advocate here is that William was fined for doing the same thing earlier, but when Walker shoved another team’s staffer earlier this season, he literally Denied by being ejected and fined for doing the same. Double crime.

The league chose not to suspend Walker.
