Nevada State (5-9) started the Mountain West Conference schedule with two of three wins. On Wednesday, the Wolf Pack traveled to Mexico (9-7) and are off to a 1-2 conference start. Lobos has lost two games here, led by Sheikl McGruder, who is averaging 15.3 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. LaTascua Duff scored 12.6 points in one game. Lexi Givens is Nevada’s only double-figure scorer, scoring 10.2 points and averaging 6.4 boards. Mike Bradbury is 129-72 in his seventh season in New Mexico, and Amanda Liebens is 84-83 in his sixth season in Reno.

The Wolf Pack postponed the Air Force visit Saturday afternoon 64-59 after the Falcons came within three points in the final minute. Victoria Davis with 14 seconds remaining he split two free throws to give him two possessions in the game and lead Nevada with 11 points. Megan Ormiston and Audrey Roden each added her 10 points.
The Lobos trailed by double digits in the first quarter and never recovered from Saturday afternoon’s 76-65 loss at Colorado State. Amaya Brown scored his 18 points in New Mexico and McGruder was held to just his 11 points on 3-of-16 shooting. Paula Reus has 10 rebounds.
So far in the series, the Lobos have dominated 13-6, with the Wolf Pack winning 77-70 in their last matchup in Reno on February 12th.
