The Brooklyn Nets visited the Vivint Arena on Friday to face the Utah Jazz, winning 117-106. It’s the first of his two matchups between his two teams this season, with Brooklyn leading the series 1-0.

For the Nets, Kyrie Irving had 48 points and 11 rebounds and Nick Claxton had 20 points and four blocks. Royce O’Neal scored 13 points on his return to Utah and Seth Curry scored 10 off the bench.

For the Jazz, Jordan Clarkson had 29 points and five assists, while Lauri Markkanen had 22 points and 11 rebounds. Talen Horton-Tucker scored his 17 points off the bench and Malik Beasley scored his 12.

After Kyrie Irving took three-quarters against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday, Irving lit the fire in this game. He was able to score from anywhere on the court and had some strong finishes at the rim as well.

This was a back and forth affair as both teams were essentially even in most statistical categories. However, Brooklyn was able to win in Utah despite the Jazz’s bench outscoring the Nets’ bench 32-21.

Here’s the NBA’s Twitter reaction to the Nets’ impressive win:
