According to NBA Reporter Marc Stein, NBA teams have concerns about acquiring Jae Crowder in a trade after a four-month hiatus.

The forward hasn’t played all season and has been away since training camp with the Phoenix Suns while both teams attempted to trade. The team has questioned the veteran’s “conditioning state” and how long it takes to “acclimate to the team.”

The Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat have an interest in Crowder, as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski recently reported, but the time away is enough to create hesitation.

Crowder is a useful player on the court, averaging 9.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game last season. The 6’6-inch, 235-pound forward has started all 67 games he’s played and helped the Suns achieve a league-best record in 2021-22.

The 32-year-old has appeared in 107 career playoff games over 10 NBA seasons, offering experience that can benefit any contender.

The question is what impact he can make over eight months away from his previous fight.
