Today’s Top Players:
New Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCallum had 34 points, five rebounds and two steals against the Washington Wizards. Since losing his star Zion his Williamson to injury, the Pelicans need consistent offensive performances by their star player.
others:
– Giannis Antetokounmpo’s double-double helped the Milwaukee Bucks recover from 17th place against the New York Knicks. Antetokounmpo had 22 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. He got a key contribution from Joe Ingles (17 points) and Drew Holliday hit a clutch shot all at once. Milwaukee needs this even more without All-Star forward Kris Middleton.
– Harrison Barnes’ season-best 30-point performance gives the Sacramento Kings a big win over the Orlando Magic. His 23 3-pointers scored by Sacramento on Monday night set a franchise record for most in a single game. Even at 21-18, the Kings remain at the top of his division with a dominant Pacific.
– The Boston Celtics maintain their best record in the league with forward Jayson Tatum having another strong night. He recorded his 32 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists in the Celtics’ victory over the Bulls in Chicago.
– Jamal Murray’s season-best 34-point night edged the Denver Nuggets over the Los Angeles Lakers. Nikola Jokic had a league-leading 11th triple-double this season, but it was Murray’s score that helped the Nuggets through Los Angeles.
