NBA Roundup: Joel Embiid, Sixers sink Jazz in final seconds

Jan. 15 – Joel Embiid hits the game-winning shot with 5 seconds remaining, James Harden hits 18 of 31 points in the 4th quarter, sending the Philadelphia 76ers to the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City on Saturday. won 118-117.

Charlotte only scored 40 points in the second half after leading at the break. His 31 points on the Lamelo Ball led the Hornets, with Terry Rozier scoring his 21 and PJ Washington scoring his 14. Mason Plumlee scored his 9th and he added 16 rebounds.

Hawks 114, Raptors 103

Trae Young scored 29 points and had nine assists, and his visit to Atlanta helped them beat Toronto.

Dejounte Murray added 27 points and 8 rebounds for the Hawks as they won the season series between teams 2-1. Scotty Barnes scored 27 points and had 12 rebounds for the Raptors after a 3-3 homestand. He added 15 points before Pascal Siakam fouled him out.

The Raptors scored the first four points of the fourth quarter. His 3-pointer from Chris Boucher cut the lead to 9 with 8:24 remaining. De’Andre Hunter responded with his 3-pointer with 8:03 remaining. Barnes scored his fourth straight point to cut the lead to eight with 5:47 remaining. Murray came back with four straight points. Boucher hit his 3-pointer to cut the lead to 7 with 3:14 remaining, but Toronto failed to come back.

Timberwolves 110, Cavaliers 102

Anthony Edwards had 26 points, seven assists and six rebounds while the Minnesota bench scored 56 against Cleveland in Minneapolis.

The Minnesota backup helped carry much of the offensive load on a night when Edwards was the only Timberwolves starter to score in double figures. including, shooting 10 of 18 from the floor en route to his game-high scoring.
