The NBA conducted a mid-season media survey on various topics. Some even include early voting for awards such as Most Improved Player of the Season and Underrated Player. They also voted for the best player in the NBA for each position, and in the end, the top he player in each position won by a wide margin.
According to the media, the top players at each position in the NBA are:
PG: Luka Doncic – Dallas Mavericks
For a while, Stephen Curry was considered the best point guard in the NBA. But this season, Doncic has stunned the league with one of his best offensive runs to date. This stat his line is one of his best ever recorded and the most points scored in a game since Kobe Bryant recorded his 81.
His addition to the Cavaliers has made a big impact as the team sits fifth in the Eastern Conference. Mitchell’s performances this season solidified his claim to the league’s top shooting guard.

SF: Jayson Tatum – Boston Celtics
The best small forward in the league is the mid-season MVP of the league’s best team.
While he didn’t do it alone, Tatum’s 30 PPG has been a major source of success for the Celtics. Tatum, 24, has had the best season of his career and is more respected than ever. He led the Celtics to the Finals one year before his season and now has his best record in the NBA.
Tatum, along with Jaylen Brown, is aiming to return to the NBA Finals this year and have a better result.
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo – Milwaukee Bucks
Antetokounmpo has long claimed to be the best power forward. Statistically, he is having the best season of his career, leading the Bucks to the No. 3 seed in his conference in the Eastern halfway through the season. Already his two MVPs are making headlines again, but the recent bouts of the Bucks’ rough play have knocked him down the MVP ladder.
Still, the team showed some elite spark throughout the season, largely due to the Greek freak’s own play.A second championship ring could be in sight for Antetokounmpo and the Bucks.
C: Nikola Jokic – Denver Nuggets
“Joker” has risen to fame over the last few years, winning back-to-back MVP awards. He’s on pace to win his MVP for the third time in years, as the Nuggets lead his conference in Westerns with 40 games this season.
Jokic’s scoring numbers are down slightly, but his playmaking is off the charts, averaging the most assists in his career. With the Nuggets looking healthier this year, they have a legitimate chance of winning a championship.
