Roberto De Zerbi wants Brighton to keep Moisés Caissedo and says ‘everyone makes mistakes’ after the midfielder pleaded to leave the club in January.

“I’m proud to bring Brighton a record transfer fee,” Caicedo said on Instagram, prompting him to refrain from training with Seagulls until after the transfer deadline on Tuesday.

Arsenal have already turned down a £60million bid for the Ecuador international this window, but Chelsea have also shown interest in the 21-year-old, who has been training with the Seagulls first team since the summer.
