ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WXYZ) — The University of Michigan has fired co-offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Matt Weiss.
The transfer will be two days after he goes on vacation. The dismissal was announced in a statement from Athletic Director Wade Manuel.
After reviewing university policy, the sports department has withdrawn the appointment of co-offensive coordinator/quarterback coach Matt Weiss.

On Friday, Weiss tweeted a statement, saying he was putting matters behind him and looking forward to getting back to the game he loves.
In a statement to ESPN Tuesday night, university police said they were investigating a possible crime at Schembechler Hall, the school’s football facility. ESPN said no one was specifically named in the statement, but a spokesperson said Weiss had not been around the team recently.
The Associated Press reported last month at Schembechler Hall, where coach Jim Harbaugh and his staff have offices and practices for the Wolverines, during a three-day investigation by university police into reports of computer access crimes. reported that Weiss had been granted leave.
A neighbor told ESPN last week that an unmarked car showed up at the joint attack coordinator’s house. Details of the search are unknown at this time.
