‘BOW BITS
- The Rainbow Warriors started playing in the Big West with a 74-66 win over UC Davis. Jobon McLanahan’s (22 points) and Justus Jackson (12) and a defensive effort that included 12 blocks and a season-high 9 steals.
- Twelve blocks were one shy to a school record of 13 sets against Nevada in 2006.
- McClanahan’s 23 points is the highest in a single game for the Rainbow Warriors this year.
- Bernardo da Silva He recorded a team-high third double-double this year and recorded his sixth career double-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks.
- Da Silva’s five blocks were the most by a Rainbow Warrior since Stephan Jankovic on February 26, 2015 against Long Beach State.
- McClanahan set a career-high scoring three times in the last four games. He is averaging 15.3 ppg during the stretch, double his previous scoring average.
- Cal Poly beat CSUN 67-57 in the Big West’s home opener. With his 7-6 overall, Cal Poly already matches last year’s win count (7-21).
- UH has won four straight overall against Cal Poly, including their last eight in Honolulu. His last home loss to the Mustangs was in 2015, when he lost 61-57 in extra time.
