Honolulu — After the first trip to the Big West of the year, the University of Hawaii men’s basketball team (12-4, 3-1 Big West) will return to the islands for two league games at home. Tip-off is at 7pm at his SimpliFi arena at Stan Sheriff’s Center.

UH came out of an overtime loss at Cal State Fullerton on a seven-game winning streak.

Before heading to Hawaii, Long Beach State will host Cal Poly on Thursday. The game was postponed for a day due to flooding in San Luis Obispo.

‘Bows are looking to continue their winning streak at home with their sixth straight win in SSC.

UH’s current six-game home winning streak is the longest since the 2015-16 team won their first eight games of the year.

UH and LBSU split last year’s series, with each team taking a road win. All of their past seven matches have ended with 6 points or less.

Beach leads the Big West and ranks eighth nationally in rebounds per game (40.1). LBSU also leads the league in steals per game (7.9).

The ‘Bows led the Big West, ranked 19th in the NCAA, and had a 60.3 points-per-game ERA.

Bernardo da Silva UH’s last expedition shined, averaging 19.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg and shooting 74% (17/23) from the field.

For the season, da Silva led the team in FG% (.551), rebounds (6.7), blocks (20) and double-doubles (3), and ranked third on the team with 10.4 ppg.

UH’s 22 turnovers in Fullerton, California were the most since they recorded 22 in a home win against CSUN on February 27, 2016.

UH outscored six of their final eight opponents in the second half. In his six games in which they outscored their opponents, the average scoring differential was his 10.5 points.
