Columbia, Missouri- The Missouri men’s basketball team used long-range shooting again to overwhelm visiting LSU 87-77 Wednesday night in front of 12,769 fans inside Missouri Arena. With the win, MU claims a third straight win, improving to 17-5 overall and 5-4 in SEC play, while LSU falls to 12-10 and 1-8 against their league opponents.
The Tigers have hit a program-record 43 baskets from behind the arc in their last three contests and converted 13 baskets tonight to pass LSU. Mizzou also recorded his season-high 26 assists in just his 10 turnovers.
Four Tigers scored in double digits to lead Missou to victory.Senior kobe brown He again led the team with 26 points, making 10-of-11 field goals and 5-of-6 from 3-point range. The senior also added 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 1 assist in the winning effort.

Mizzou didn’t trail in the game, quickly jumping to an 8-0 lead thanks to deep shots from Brown and Carter, sending LSU to the first timeout just 2:14 into the game.
Carter led the Tigers’ offense in the first 10 minutes, posting double digits in just 9:24 of the game. Behind the opening stanza Brown caught fire, leading all scorers with 17 while tackling a career-high five 3-pointers in the first half. Overall, Mizzou went 48-35 as he created nine triples in his first 11 minutes of action, and in the first half he finished with 11, building a 13-point lead in intermission.
Halftime advantage was not relinquished as Mizzou’s defense prevented LSU from pulling within single digits in the second stanza to clinch an 87–77 win.
Missouri shot 55.9% against LSU and had clips 13-of-27 from three-point range. MU also kept their opponents at 40.9 percent off the field with a mark of 11/33 from 3-point range.
