SAN FRANCISCO — Paolo Banchero scored 25 points and Franz Wagner added 24 as the Orlando Magic defeated the Golden State Warriors 115-101 on Saturday night.

The Magic have won on the Warriors’ home floor for the first time in over a decade.

Anthony Lamb scored a career-high 26 points off the Goren State bench. His 14 points in the first quarter he had four 3s. Donte DiVincenzo added his 15 points and eight rebounds and the Warriors lost two in a row after chasing his season-high five-game winning streak and his six-game unbeaten streak at his center. It ended Wednesday night with his 3-pointer buzzing his Bay of Detroit’s Sadik in a 122-119 win.

The Warriors welcomed the additions of All-Star Andrew Wiggins and veteran Andre Iguodala for their much-anticipated debut of the season, but Klay Thompson suffered a late injury with a sore left knee that was surgically repaired. He warmed up and was announced to the starters during the pre-match introductions.

Wiggins returned from a 15-game absence with both a muscle strain in his right upper extremity and a non-COVID illness, scoring 12 points in 19 minutes.

Stephen Curry missed 11 straight games with a partially dislocated left shoulder, but could return next week.

Iguodala had yet to play as the Warriors took a conservative approach and the 38-year-old veteran managed a left hip injury. When he first checked in at the 7:28 mark of the first and each other’s moment, he received a warm applause and finished in 12 minutes.

Cole Anthony added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists while Wendell Carter Jr. gave Orlando 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Magic Center’s Moritz Wagner returned from a three-game suspension in which he was suspended for two games due to illness after an altercation with the Pistons in Detroit on Dec. 28.
