Lakers fans have got a glimpse of what Max Christie is all about this season. On Monday, he managed to push it up another notch after making his first NBA start with the Nuggets in Denver.
The rookie is averaging 13.5 minutes per game, 41.4% shooting percentage, 3.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game this season.
When LeBron James, Austin Reeves and Lonnie Walker IV sat out Monday with injuries, the former Michigan State Guard stepped to the plate and was ready for the 11th hour as well.

After such an impressive performance, his mom had to be proud of her son. I didn’t. In fact, it didn’t seem to phase him at all, and although the team lost his 122-109, Christie had the best night of his career.
In 26 minutes, Christie scored a career-high 14 points, going 6-for-8 from the field and 2/3 from the arc. He also grabbed 3 rebounds and 1 assist.
Luke showed a lot of potential. With Reaves and Walker IV out of her for at least another week, Christie will definitely have more time to prove herself.
He will only go up from here as he gains more time and gets more starting opportunities.
