The Legacy women’s soccer team extended their third straight victory with a victory over Austin Hyde Park in the Harker Heights tournament on Saturday.
América Gutierrez and Emily McLite led Lady Rebels with two goals each (3-6). Also scoring in the LHS were Julie Van Husen, Alyin Alcantar and Lynzi Tarin.
Assists in the win were Ashlyn Patton, Kyla Patton, McLite and Alcanter.
LHS leads 3-0 in the first half.
LHS coach Carlos Ruiz said, “It’s been a good football weekend for us.” We were able to move people around and see different sets, which helped us a lot, especially with district games coming up, although we still have some homework to do within the team. , I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Lady Rebels’ next host is Amarillo Tascosa, taking place on Friday at 6:30 PM at Astound Broadband Stadium.
MHS GOES 1-1-1
in Georgetown
Midland High School’s women’s soccer team finished 1-1-1 in the Georgetown Governors Cup over the weekend.
The Lady Bulldogs (8-4-2) defeated Georgetown Eastview (1-0), drew 1-1 with Plano West and lost 1-0 to Clear Springs.
Navale Ortega scored against Eastview and Hannah Johnson scored against Plano West.
The Lady Bulldogs will next head to play District 2-6A and host San Angelo Central on February 3rd.
