Featherweight great Jose Aldo is rumored to be making his professional boxing debut much sooner than expected.

Aldo officially retired from mixed martial arts in September after nearly two decades in the sport. As reported by MMA Fighting, Aldo is set to make his debut at Sweet His Science on February 10 at his upper arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Details about the match, including opponents, number of rounds and divisions, have yet to be announced.

Aldo has been actively training boxing even before retiring from MMA. He has previously spoken about the possibilities of boxing, calling it his dream that he has been wanting to realize for some time.

Speaking on MMA Fighting’s Trocação Franca podcast, Aldo said: “It’s always been a dream. [left]”
