All but the New York Mets are reportedly out of the running for Carlos Correa as it stands. This is his one of the most fascinating and confusing stories of the offseason. Correa is one of his top available free agents and it remains to be seen where he will play in 2023, even though he has agreed to two deals.

Correa was raised at two separate medical examinations this offseason. The deal with the San Francisco Giants is over, but the deal with the New York Mets isn’t over yet.

MLB insider Jon Heyman shared a report on Twitter about other teams making inquiries about Correa.

“The only teams calling about Carlos Correa are being told, ‘It’s just a Mets game.'” – Jon Heyman

This means no other team is currently on the run while the deal is yet to close.

When Correa opted out of his contract with the Minnesota Twins, no one could have predicted this tumultuous process. We believed there was. Whatever the concerns, Correa is still one of the top MLB players.

Correa has been a great player in the postseason as well, as this highlight video uploaded to YouTube shows.

The New York Mets have a clear shot at the championship, so completing this deal is of the utmost importance.
