Italian football star Gianluca Vialli, who capped 59 caps for Italy, has died.

Vialli died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 58, the Italian football federation confirmed on Friday.

During his career, Vialli played for Sampdoria, Juventus and Chelsea. He played for the Italian national team from 1985 to 1992, making 59 appearances and scoring 16 goals, according to the Associated Press.

Vialli ended his playing career as manager of Chelsea, leading the London club to FA Cup, League Cup and Cup Winners’ Cup titles.

He continued to live in London after moving from Chelsea to television commentary and other ventures, according to the Associated Press.
