IBF Allowing Tyson Fury Vs.Oleksandr Usyk in the undisputed championship

Dan Rafael is report News that IBF President Darryl Peoples has canceled the order to defend Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) against #1 Hrugovic.

Peoples says the WBA is next in the mandatory defense rotation system. in short, Daniel Dubois IBF/WBA/WBO champion Usyk will be the next must-have to defend.

However, DuBois has been promoted by the same person as Frank Warren’s Tyson Fury, and he’s already working on a fight between Fury and Usyk, likely in the Middle East or the UK in March.

The winner then decides whether to defend against WBA obligatory Dubois or vacate the belt. Warren said today that if Fury succeeds in beating Usyk in March, he’s interested in facing Joe Joyce in his next fight.

Hrgovic’s promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing was clearly not happy to learn of the IBF’s decision to rescind an earlier order for Usyk to defend against his fighter.

Hahn was expecting a fight between Usyk and Hulgovic, but his fighter was talking about Fury not being able to face the undisputed Oleksandr because his title shot was due.

Warren revealed earlier this week that a draft deal against Fury has been sent to Usyk. Usyk’s management can’t afford to delay reviewing the draft contract if Fury’s fight progresses in March.

For boxing fans eager to see Fury take on Usyk, this is great news.

The unfortunate thing about it is that the winner of Fury-Usyk is likely to be indisputable after just one fight before quickly emptying the WBA belt and deflecting DuBois’ bout.

If DuBois was more popular around the world, the winner of Fury vs. Usyk would be worth defending him, but unfortunately he is mostly known to British boxing fans and is not seen as a real talent. Not done.
