Denver was able to pull off a solid win on Tuesday with a 122-113 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. Center Nikolajokic continued his habit of dropping his line with crazy stats, recording a triple-double with 36 points, 12 boards and 10 dimes. Jokic has 13 triple-doubles this year.
Meanwhile, Minnesota fell just short of Monday’s win, losing 126-125 to the Utah Jazz. Despite the loss, the Timberwolves were able to see some players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. His guard Anthony Edwards, who scored 29 points and had five assists, was the best shooter among the players.
Denver’s win made them 31-13, and Minnesota’s loss made them 22-23. Allowing an average of 115.44 points per game, Minnesota hasn’t exactly claimed itself on defense. We’ll see if they can close any holes in their defenses before our next matchup.
