WEST LAFAYETTE, IN — No. 1 Purdue Basketball, having faced the Spartans on the road once in the past two weeks, welcomes Michigan State University to Mackey Arena on Sunday. The match is scheduled for 12:15 PM ET and will air on CBS.
The Boilermakers won the Breslin Center by a score of 64-63, with junior center Zach Eadie posting a career-high 32 points with 2.2 seconds remaining to take the win.
“We know it’s going to be a tough game,” Purdue coach Matt Painter said. “These athletic guards can play for themselves and others. [Joey] Hauser to size.
“We’re just trying to avoid rotations as much as possible and do a good job of balancing rebounding. I think that’s going to be key for both teams.”

Matt Painter, Purdue: Painter is in his 18th season as head coach of Purdue Basketball. He owns his 404-193 overall record in the program, including his 203-116 mark in the Big Ten. With his 73–55 victory over Nebraska on January 13, Paynter became only the fifth coach in the history of the Big Ten to reach his 400th win at a conference school, joining Bob Knight, Tom Izzo, Gene Keady and Lou Henson. achieved.
