Bruce Pearl and the Auburn basketball team will return to Neville Arena to face the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

After the Tigers’ two wins against Arkansas and Ole Miss, it should be a tumultuous environment. It will also be his first Saturday night home game since the student returned in full for the spring semester.

Series history

Auburn leads the all-time series, 80-70, including Mississippi State having a 47-25 advantage at home. The Tigers won four straight in the series, including last year’s 81-68 overtime win at Starkville, to clinch the SEC regular season championship title.

This is the second meeting between Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl and Mississippi State first-year head coach Chris Jans. Pearl and the Tigers faced Jans and his New Mexico State team in his 2019 NCAA Tournament first round (won, 78-77) in Salt Lake City.
