Jayson Tatum scored 40 or more points six times this season before setting the Celtics’ all-time scoring record in the first half of the season, but Monday marked the first 50 points for the 2022-23 Boston Celtics. (33-12), which is their 7th consecutive win and holds the league record.
Meanwhile, two former Duke Basketball big men on the Hornets’ roster, veteran Mason Plumlee and rookie Mark Williams, each had solid stat lines.

Plumlee, who started all 45 games for the Charlotte Hornets (11-34), had seven assists and 19 points and 12 rebounds in 31 minutes for his 17th double-double of the season. Williams, now Plumlee’s primary backup, finished with 9 points and 6 boards in 17 minutes.
