An ugly victory is better than a pretty loss.
Michigan State didn’t produce an A-game in Saturday’s offensive end, but it held its defense to take a major rivalry win over Michigan State, 59-53 from the Breslin Center. The win extended Michigan State’s winning streak to six games, taking him 11-4 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

Offensively, the Spartans were led by the trio of AJ Hoggard, Tyson Walker and Malik Hall. These three of his combined scored his 44 of his 59 points for the Spartans on Saturday.
