Here’s a recap of the high school varsity team’s action starting Tuesday, January 31st.
South River 81, Crofton 55: Blake Burrows gave the Seahawks 24 points and Cash Herndon was right behind him with 22 points. TraShawn Timmons scored his nine points.
Broadneck 53, NE 38: The Bruins wrapped up the game 14-5 in the fourth quarter. Amaré Jeffries led the win with his 11 points. Michael Schwob and Jalen Carter added 11 points each. Kyle Miles led with his eight rebounds and Jordan Brown recorded his eight assists. Jadyss Fifer scored his 20 points to lead the Northeast.
Old Mill 77, Arundel 55: Noah Frayer scored 17 points, but the visiting Wildcats lost to the Patriots.
Chesapeake-AA 59, Southern 34: The Cougars improved to 13-5 as Natalie Forman hit four 3-pointers to lead by 20 points. Ava Arruda had 15 points, Ella Shannon had 12 points and 6 assists, and Madison Kelly had 12 rebounds, 6 points and 5 assists. Ava Wooster led the Bulldogs with 25 points.
Gerstell 45, St. Mary’s 24: The Falcons finished the season with a 9-5 record. Against the Saints, Gerstel scored the pin. Landon Bell, Sameer Nasir, Rowen Myers, Michael Binder, Zavian Valedron.
Loch Raven 45, Durany 33: The host Raiders defeated the Lions.
