Former five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather never misses an opportunity to break his unbeaten 50-win record. In his career spanning over 20 years, the 45-year-old has won pretty much everything there is to achieve in the ring. He believes himself to be the greatest fighter of all time and no champion can match his skill.

While making these claims, “The Pretty Boy” forgot about promising Shakur Stevenson, a two-division world champion who has a lot in common with Mayweather. The duo first crossed paths in 2016 when Mayweather visited Rio de Janeiro to cheer on the Newark native. When he saw Stevenson fighting, he said. “I see the next Floyd Mayweather. If anyone can beat my record, this young kid here can do it. I really believe in him.”

Mayweather wanted to sign the kid, but Stevenson didn’t agree. After his controversial defeat, he took the silver medal home and entered the ‘Top Rank’ promotion.

He’s off to a great start and has a record of 19-0 so far. The young star recently made a big claim, he said, “I want to break all Floyd Mayweather records!”
