Jerbonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on April 15th.
It’s not official, but it looks like the last remaining hurdle has been cleared as Oscar de la Hoya posted on social media this evening to show off that he and Garcia have signed a deal for the fight.
“The devil is in the details,” De La Hoya wrote on Instagram. “April 15th, let’s go!!!”
De La Hoya threatened to “move on” from the game over the weekend, saying he would have to get a deal done this week. We’ve passed the federal holiday. It’s Tuesday. They have signed a deal and De La Hoya has publicly posted that they are ready.
Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) fought on April 7, stopping Hector Luis Garcia after eight rounds. Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) last fought his July, knocking out Javier Fortuna in the sixth round. Davis battle.
Davis vs Garcia (Ryan’s Version) will headline the Showtime pay-per-view on April 15th from Las Vegas and is sure to be one of the biggest events of 2023.
