Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson faces a $5 million lawsuit after being accused of being raped by a woman in the early 1990s. The lawsuit was first reported by the Times Union of Albany.
The woman alleged that Tyson met her at a nightclub in Albany, N.Y., and tried to rape her while riding in a limousine. I have been forced to endure “severe wounds.”
The woman’s affidavit did not provide a specific date of the attack, but that’s about as beauty pageant contestant Desiree Washington said Tyson raped her in Indianapolis. He said it happened at the same time.

Tyson was convicted of raping Washington State on February 10, 1992 and served three years in prison. The lawsuit from an unidentified woman follows the state’s Adult Survivors Act, which gives victims of sexual assault a year to take legal action for an alleged assault that happened decades ago. According to the affidavit, Tyson made physical contact with her shortly after boarding the limousine and attempted to kiss her.
“I told him to stop many times and asked him to stop, but he kept attacking me,” the woman said. “Then he took my pants off and violently raped me.”

The woman chose not to release her name.
Attorney Darren Seilback, who represents the woman, said in a separate document that his office had exercised due diligence before filing the lawsuit. I can,” he said.
