LaLiga, Spain’s preeminent football league in the UEFA alliance, is under attack from one of the league’s biggest stars.

Vinicius on Saturday blamed the league and other players for their lack of action. La Liga issued a statement following the controversy: “In light of the posts by Real Madrid player Vinicius Jr. on his social media profile, which hinted at the lack of action taken by La Liga in combating racism. In the meantime, La Liga has been identified by some individuals whose racist insults were posted on social media, standing at the Estadio de Zorilla.”
The league said it would report the incident to the Anti-Violence Commission and the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Hate Crime.
