With playoff football looming, the AP has announced its All-Pro team for the 2022 season. Five Oklahoma Sooners received his first place and his second place team honors at work this season. Trent Williams and Lane Johnson were selected for the first team, while Creed Humphrey, Sheedy Lamb and Jalen Hurts were selected for the second team.

Oklahoma’s reputation for producing the best offensive linemen in the game continues to grow, with three out of ten offensive linemen selected from the University of Oklahoma coming from the University of Oklahoma. Humphrey was named second-team center, his first choice. Kansas City Humphrey’s work as the brains and brawn protecting his Chiefs’ league-best QB, Patrick Mahomes, hasn’t gone unnoticed.

The first-team selection was the second consecutive first-team selection for Williams, who has a total of three All-Pro selections in his career. Johnson earned his second First Team selection.

Williams will suit up on Saturday when the San Francisco 49ers host the Seattle Seahawks in the wild card round.

Johnson continues rehab to play in Philadelphia next week. The Eagles part ways this week after he earned the NFC’s No. 1 seed in the playoffs.

In an MVP-type season, Jalen Hurts led the Eagles to the No. 1 seed in the NFC with 3,701 passing yards and 22 passing touchdowns. He completed 66.5% of his passes during his breakout season. He added 760 rushing yards and 13 rushing scores to the ground..

Joining Hurts and Humphrey for the second team is Dallas Cowboys star receiver Sheedy Lamb. Lamb has compiled his best NFL season ever. He solidified himself as a true star capable of leading Dallas’ wide receiver group.

He had 107 total receptions for 1,359 yards and nine touchdowns, averaging 12.7 reception yards. He put up four receptions, shy of tying the Cowboys record for most catches in a season. Monday night, he will need another monster performance from him as the Cowboys travel to Tampa His Bay to face Tom Brady and the Buccaneers.

Oklahoma is well represented among the NFL’s elite players and will be represented in the playoff stage this weekend.
