The only way Adam Baskin can understand this nonsensical move by the World Boxing Council is if they sanction the Spence vs. Thurman match. at least there will be fines it gets involved.
If the WBC denies the match, it means there is no fine. i mean i have no money. What’s surprising is that the Spence vs. Thurman fight doesn’t have a title.
If Spence had intended to go out of his way to ask the WBC to sanction the fight against Thurman for meeting the mandatory defense of the 147-pound belt, he would have been sanctioned by the sanctioning body for a new belt for him.
