Coming into the season, Jaden Schutt was a question mark in first-year Duke Basketball head coach John Scheer’s primary rotation projections.

“I can say that after every game, we evaluate everything, and Jaden was a player I really trusted,” Shire explained. “He’s got the ability to shoot past three, and that’s something we’ll look at and talk about — because he’s capable.
“We’re looking at all options, but you don’t want to win with just three-point shots. We won games where we weren’t good at three-point shots. We still have to play to our strengths. No. Other players have played ‘I’m ready to play, but Jaden is a guy who has to be ready…and let’s see what happens here.’
So far, Jaden Schutt has played just seven games, averaging 2.4 points in 7.4 minutes per outing and shooting 5-10 from downtown.
