Dennis Eckersley’s daughter cheated police after abandoning son

The adopted daughter of MLB great Dennis Eckersley, 26-year-old Alexandra Eckersley continues to find herself in trouble.

Earlier this week, homeless Eckersley was arrested in New Hampshire on suspicion of leaving her newborn son in the woods after giving birth in a tent.

Now, reports say she may have misled the police about her son’s whereabouts.

A police affidavit reveals that Eckersley deceived police trying to locate his son. This was because I was afraid that my tent would be robbed.

“Eckersley said that if he lost his tent due to the cold Manchester winter, it would be very difficult for him to survive,” the affidavit reads. Boston Herald.

Eckersley gave officials a tour of the ballpark, but later revealed the infant’s whereabouts while speaking to investigators, police said.

The report also shows the inside of Eckersley’s tent she shared with her boyfriend. First responders noticed a large amount of blood and several blankets in the tent. They also reported that the tent’s propane heater was off.

Eckersley reportedly told EMT that she was unaware she was pregnant before giving birth to her son, who was believed to be premature at about three months old.

Officials also noted that Eckersley was “unsettled” during the incident. She reportedly admitted to police that she had been abusing substances. She reportedly even mentioned using cocaine in the days before her delivery.
