The boys’ soccer team went 6-11 this year after beating Boyd H. Anderson High School 2-0. They honored Sebastian Cal, Elijah Lenz, Michael Tirado, Santiago Rojas and Christian de Leon.

The women’s soccer team did not play, but was still recognized. Their seniors are Rinne Varkala, Ana Mariano and Daniel Mersch. The Panthers have had a dominant season with his 12-3-1 record. They are now on a four-game winning streak, in which he has outdone his opponents 30-0 in his four games.

“This is a special group of young women,” said head coach Christine Grassi. “We have seen many of them play their best in high school. Our three seniors have risen to the occasion and demonstrated true leadership on and off the field, We are united for postseason play.”

Both teams are looking forward to seeing who they face in the district tournament.

The wrestling team honored both Hunter Perez and Keone Taylor in their match against Marjorie Stoman Douglas on Thursday. Despite losing 57-22, head coach Eric Perez said his two seniors meant the world to him.

“It’s amazing how they care about the program and develop new wrestlers into good wrestlers and good people,” Perez said. We are very lucky to have them and very sad to see them go.”

Both seniors emerged victorious, with 7th grader Peter Mokko scoring the pin facing off against MSD seniors. Preston Lindsay also scored the Panthers’ 10–2 victory.

Next up is the Miami Miami Beach Duals on Saturday, January 21, before the BCAA Championships a week later.
